[v3] Using Alerts

Stock + Pro has a flexible alerts system that gives users the power to be notified when certain stock conditions are met.

To use the Alert feature, navigate to a watchlist, select a stock in that watchlist, and open the Inspector Pane.

At the bottom of the Inspector Pane, choose "Alerts".

Once you are viewing the Alerts section, you can add, edit, duplicate, or delete alerts.  You can also activate or deactivate any of the alerts.

All of your stocks will share the same general list of alerts.  You activate or deactivate specific alerts for individual stocks.  In this way, if you want to set up a simple alert that will be used by many stocks in your watchlist, you only have to create one alert and then activate it for all of those stocks instead of having to create a new alert for each stock.

Clicking on the Gear button will bring up a list of possible actions.
Right clicking on an existing alert will also bring up a similar menu.

Editing a new or existing alert will look like this:
 
You can give the alert a descriptive name.  Below that is a section where you can list out conditions that must be met in order to trigger to the alert.

The final section at the bottom is where you can specify what actions should be carried out if all the conditions are met.  These can include displaying a notification, playing a sound, or sending an email.

Finally, make sure that the rule is active after editing it.  If it isn't active, it won't trigger!
